About the site

Welcome to SocietyGuardian.co.uk - the website with a unique combination of jobs, news, analysis, comment and interactive debate for everyone who works in the public services and the voluntary sector.

Our aim is to take the strengths of our sister publication, SocietyGuardian, and build them into a daily, web-based service. Our editorial team specialises in the key areas of social care, health, voluntary organisations and charities, local government and housing and regeneration. Each of these sectors has a dedicated section of the site where you can find news and analysis that gets right to the heart of the issues.

The commentary and analysis team is made up of many of the sector's leading names, including Nick Cater, Peter Davies, Malcolm Dean, Polly Toynbee and David Walker.

Why not sign up for our daily email briefing delivered to your inbox at 10.15am every weekday - giving you details of the latest news, comment and analysis on the site.

If you want share an opinion and find out the thoughts of others on public services and voluntary sector issues you can register and log on to our talkboards.

In the Big Issues section you'll find reports on a range of subjects including asylum and immigration, MRSA, public finances and children's services

We are anxious to hear from you. Feedback, comments, requests and well-meant advice will all be gratefully received. Send your questions, advice and experiences in the sector to editor@societyguardian.co.uk. It's your site - and you have the opportunity to shape it into your online meeting place.
