Who can enter? Anyone can nominate a team / public servant or you can nominate yourself. Please see the entry guidelines to check for eligibility details. Can I enter more than one category? Yes, you can enter more than one category as long as you meet the category criteria. Please ensure that you enter each entry on a separate application form. Are the awards free to enter? Yes. Do the awards cover education? No, apart from the Citizenship and Volunteering category which includes school governors. These awards are for all other aspects of the public services. The Guardian sponsors the Teaching Awards which reward excellence in teaching, details of which can be found at www.teachingawards.com. Can I send a case study instead of completing the application form? No, each entry must be submitted on the official entry form either online or using the hard copy version which is found at the back of the entry pack. Can I send in additional promotional material? Please do not submit additional material, our judges simply won't have time to read it. If you have been shortlisted we will request additional material and details of your accounts. How will I know if I'm shortlisted? You will be notified before the end of September if you have been shortlisted. Unfortunately due to the amount of entries we receive, we are unable to contact everyone who has entered so if you haven't heard from us you haven't been successful this year. If my application is unsuccessful, can I request feedback from the Guardian events team? No. The panel of judges is appointed by the Guardian and all its decisions are independent of the awards administration. The judges' decision will be final and the Guardian will not enter into any discussion or correspondence concerning the results. I am visually impaired, can I request a large format version of the entry pack? Yes, please call us on 020 7131 7218 or email danielle.senior@guardian.co.uk Can I enter if the project was set up before July 20 2007? Yes, as long as the project can demonstrate that effective change and improvement took place between July 20 2007 and July 18 2008. Can the deadline be extended?
