Roger GraefRoger Graef OBE, chief executive, Films of Record

Roger Graef is an award winning filmmaker who is founder and chief executive officer of Films of Record. He has made more than a hundred films in various roles and was awarded the Bafta Fellowship for Lifetime Achievement in 2004. In 2006, he was given an OBE for service to broadcasting. He has directed drama, theatre, opera, and comedy as well as current affairs and documentaries. But he is best known for his films on police and criminal justice. His film on rape in the award winning BBC Police series changed the way police handle rape victims.

Roger is also a criminologist at the LSE, and was a founder board member of Channel 4. He was visiting professor of broadcast communication at Oxford University, and has written several books on the criminal justice system. He is chair of Theatre de Complicite, social affairs advisor to the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and sits on numerous boards and committees.
